Cratos Co. Get in touch

A holding company for small, independent businesses built with AI. We start them, run them lean, and keep them.

From the Greek κράτος: strength, and the power to govern. In our case, the power to govern our own time.

One operator, a set of AI systems, and a real business.

Every Cratos venture starts with a problem we understand and a market that already pays to have it solved. Then we build the company around AI from day one: the research, the operations, the customer work, the reporting.

The jobs that once needed a department are handled by systems we design, test and improve every week. That keeps each venture small, profitable and owned outright. No outside investors steering the roadmap, no headcount to justify, no quarterly reorg.

Corporate life taught us how businesses work. It never let us own one.

Cratos started as a way out: a plan to replace a salary with businesses we build ourselves. AI is what makes that realistic now. A single person with well-built tools can do work that used to take a team, so the leverage that only large companies had is open to anyone willing to build carefully.

So that is what we do. We build carefully, keep what works, and shut down what doesn't without drama.

How we operate

Small on purpose
If a venture needs a big team to run, we haven't built it right yet.
AI does the work, people make the calls
Systems handle research, operations and reporting. Judgment, taste and accountability stay with us.
Profitable before impressive
Revenue comes first. Polish, scale and press come after the numbers hold.
Owned, not funded
We fund our ventures ourselves, so the only people we answer to are customers.
Durable markets, new tools
We pick markets that will still be here in ten years and use new tools to serve them better.

Ventures

Our ventures aren't listed here yet.

A few are running, a few are being built, and we'll introduce each one when it's ready to stand on its own. If you're building something similar, want to partner, or have a business you'd like to see run this way, we'd like to hear from you.
